I really liked this book. It is a feel good quick read. I sincerely hope Elizabeth Andre has plans to expound on this oceanic world and I would love to read more about these characters in future works especially Ensign Castsneda.

Taijiku

I love this short story. It's tightly packed with action, romance, setting and tension.

Angela Russell is a young offender who gets sent to a research station underwater. She's got a lovely girlfriend, Stella, the best part of being aboard. Her thoughts are occasionally of the prison life she left, and she wants to get her record cleaned so she can get a better job than floor washer. The Pacific Rim has been occasionally under attack from vast sea monsters called Kaiju, and all Angela's troubles are temporarily forgotten when the largest, Taijiku, swims past the research station.

For drama, courage under desperate circumstances and excellent characterisation, I'm giving this SF story top marks. The subject matter may mean that not all young adults would be comfortable with the read, as it contains themes of prison life, alternative sexuality and some strong language. I am sure young adult readers will be mature enough to make up their own minds as to whether they would enjoy the tale.

This is a short about Angela and her lover Stella. They work on an underwater ship in the future. The rest is for you to discover. I found this story to be intriguing and adventurous. The characters were wonderful and believable. I don't want to give any of it away so I am just going to say this is a very well written story and is totally worth the read.

Weird at last, weird at last, God Almighty, weird at last.

If you're a fan of the podcast series and are on the fence about buying this book, do not be. There's something so magical about reading the transcripts, and the forewords by Jeffrey and Joseph are absolutely worth it.

I am so SO satisfied with this. The art, the short but revealing introductions from the authors, and seeing many letters arranged into what I assume to be words but cannot be totally sure of since I'm sure that is, in some way, illegal to comprehend.

Welcome to Night Vale has kept me inspired all through college, and I credit much of my enthusiasm for experimental fiction to the series. Please support the writers of this delightfully weird, beautiful series and own a more permanent version of previously impermanent audio waves.

This book** is awesome. It's a collection of the scripts to the episodes from the first year/season, and includes the script of the live show "Condos" at the end.
The best part of this book, other than carrying around the Night Vale stories, is the comentary before each episode! Commentary about the episodes, how they were written, or how they were recorded or performed, by the writers, guest writers, and voice actors. it's just awesome. Everyone(thing) involved is awesome. The writers are awesome, the actors are awesome, the Dog Park is NOT awesome, Angels aren't real, and Steve Carlsburg*** is a jerk.

It's just a big bundle of happy.

*Not so much a review-review as a municipally approved rambling of joy.
**this technically is a book, but it's not a novel book. It does have two covers, though, so it's sort of a book.

About the Author
Chan S. Park is currently a Professor of Industrial and Systems Engineering at Auburn University. He received the M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in industrial engineering from Purdue University and the Georgia Institute of Technology, respectively. Over his 25-year academic career, he has been actively involved in a variety of areas of research, teaching, and professional consulting. His work has been recognized internationally in the fields of engineering economics, strategic and economic decisions within service sectors, financial engineering (real options valuation), risk analysis, and capital budgeting. He also authored or coauthored leading textbooks on the related subjects, including Contemporary Engineering Economics (Prentice Hall), and Advanced Engineering Economics (John Wiley & Sons). He is the Editor-in-Chief of the journal The Engineering Economist and is a licensed Professional Engineer.

I think this book is alright. Honestly, it has a lot of text for how little content it actually covers. The international edition is identical to the hardcover 3rd edition, so buy it if you can just to save some money. The only things worth knowing out of this book are the tables in Chapters 2-4 (equation tables) and Chapter 6, buy vs. lease.

About the Author
Martin Woodside's poetry chapbook Stationary Landscapes came out in 2009 from Pudding House Press, and he spent 2009-10 on a Fulbright in Romania. He lives with his family in Philadelphia where he's pursuing a PhD in Childhood Studies at Rutgers-Camden.

It's not easy to put together an anthology whose selections would appeal to all kinds of readers, but Of Gentle Wolves is packed with gems. Riveting, insightful, funny--and superbly translated from Romanian by Martin Woodside--these poems remind us why poets are our most compelling literary companions.

I had never read Romanian poetry before I read this book. It's fascinating and exhilarating poetry, and sure to inspire you to think about writing in new ways. It will also throw new light on American poetry in ways you haven't thought of before. Simply brilliant.
